Acquisition
Images of high quality are key to accurate interpretation of prostate MRI and detection of prostate cancer. Minimal requirements for acquisition of prostate MRI are proposed in recent guidelines. We present possible implementations of these recommendations by summarizing important scan parameters from different centers.
Interpretation using PIRADS v2
PIRADS v2 guidelines provide a comprehensible road map for the interpretation of prostate MRI. Our PIRADS calculator helps follow the guidelines by summarizing and visualizing the key imaging findings and calculating the final PIRADS score.
Reporting
The written report is the business card of the radiologist and the means by which he or she is seen by the referring physician. In a complex exam such as prostate MRI, a concise and standardized report may help referring physicians and/or the patients to quickly and easily find the key results.
